File extension iif information
File extension IIF or intuit interchange format is used to import and export transactions and lists. Intuit’s QuickBooks is software that uses this propriety text format to perform these tasks. Since 2004 QuickBooks are also able to import data by using qbxml file exchange formats that are XML-based. This specially formatted text file (ASCII) enables movement of Quicken transactions from one account register to another account register as long as both are under Quicken or from programs, which support QIF format. Users can import this generic data format through several spreadsheet programs.
